Solubility: miscible soluble in ether, chloroform, glycerin, carbon disulfide, petroleum jelly, volatile oil, strong alkali aqueous solution. Easy to dissolve in ethanol, glycerin, chloroform, ether and other organic solvents at room temperature, slightly soluble in water at room temperature, mixed with about 8% water can be liquefied, more than 65℃ can be miscible with water, almost insoluble in petroleum ether.

Use:
Phenol is an important organic chemical raw material, which can be used to produce phenolic resin, caprolactam, bisphenol A, salicylic acid, picric acid, pentachlorophenol, 2, 4-D, adipic acid, phenolphthalein n-acetylethoxyaniline and other chemical products and intermediates. In chemical raw materials, alkyl phenols, synthetic fibers, plastics, synthetic rubber, medicine, pesticides, spices, dyes, coatings and oil refining industry has an important use. In addition, phenol can also be used as a solvent, experimental reagent and disinfectant. The aqueous solution of phenol can separate the proteins from DNA on the chromosomes in plant cells, which is convenient for DNA staining. Storage method:
